Plain English, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand what you're agreeing to. These are the actual terms — nothing hidden in the long version, because there isn't one.
Who you're dealing with. Sadie Bear, ABN 33 913 955 627 — "we" and "us" below.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't create one.
You describe a business. Our software uses AI to write a plan, produce marketing material, and — if it suits the job — build and publish a website and create products in your own Stripe account. AI "staff" then work on a schedule and report back to you.
Sadie is a tool, not an adviser. Everything she produces — plans, prices, market estimates, marketing claims, forecasts — is generated automatically and may be wrong. It is not business, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice.
You are the person running your business. Every decision is yours, and you should check anything that matters with a suitably qualified human.
You should know exactly what you're relying on, so here it is without varnish:
Sadie is a very fast, very willing assistant. She is not a lawyer, an accountant, or a guarantee.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 10 below, Sadie Bear is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output will produce customers, revenue, or any commercial result whatsoever.
If it goes out under your name, it's yours.
You are solely responsible for:
Your sales go through your own Stripe account. We are not a payment processor and we are not merchant of record for anything you sell. Money moves from your customer to you; it never passes through us. Your relationship with Stripe is governed by Stripe's terms, and disputes, chargebacks and refunds on your sales are between you, your customer and Stripe.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, without refund.
You own what she makes for you — your plan, copy, site content and products. If you leave, it's still yours.
We own Sadie Bear itself: the software, prompts, design system and brand. You're licensed to use it while you have an account, not to copy it.
AI-generated output may resemble output given to someone else. We can't and don't promise it is unique, or that it can be trade marked or copyrighted.
We aim to keep things running but don't promise uninterrupted service. We rely on other companies — Anthropic, Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Pexels — and their outages become ours. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw the service entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your work.
Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows:
You indemnify us against claims arising from what you publish or sell.
Cancel whenever you like, from your account. We may close an account that breaches these terms. On closure, live sites are taken down and your data is deleted after 30 days — export anything you want first.
We'll email you about material changes at least 14 days ahead. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

We collect as little as we can get away with, and we don't sell any of it.
The entity responsible for your personal information is Sadie Bear, ABN 33 913 955 627, Australia. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of practice, whether or not the small business exemption applies to us.
No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no selling or sharing your data with anyone for marketing. The only cookie we set keeps you signed in.
To do the job, your business description is sent to Anthropic (the AI), and published site content goes to Cloudflare. Products are created in Stripe. Photos come from Pexels. Sign-in emails go via Resend. Data is stored with Supabase. Each has its own privacy terms.
Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through the API.
Our database is hosted in the Asia-Pacific region. Some providers process data in the United States, which means your information may be handled overseas.
Email hello@sadiebear.com and we'll action any of these within 30 days:
Everything travels over HTTPS. Stripe keys are encrypted at rest. Database access is locked down so only our server can read it. No system is perfectly secure — if there's a breach affecting you, we'll tell you promptly, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Sadie Bear is for adults running businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
